Brief Biography
Geoff Mowery prefers to paint on gessoed board with egg tempera or oil. His subjects are primarily wildlife, landscapes and sporting imagery of North America. One of his sporting paintings, "Market Gunners", was featured on the September/October issue of "Hunting & Fishing Collectibles" magazine. Throughout his career he has had a number of achievements such as his three paintings that were selected by the Smithsonian Institute for display at the United States Embassy in Norway.
"I studied art at the creative Choinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, but it was the knowledge of a friend of mine from the Philadelphia Academy that allowed me to master the egg tempera medium."
