Offset, digital and wide format printer & print provider. Fine art reproduction and Giclee.

To be a great printer, you must be an artist at heart. Our appreciation of the talented use of color, form, and technique fires our passion for this business. As participants in the craft of creating beautiful images, be assured that we will treat your original paintings and photography with the care of someone who appreciates and treasures them as much as you do. We have assisted hundreds of photographers, traditional and digital artists, painters, and owners of original artwork in faithfully restoring and reproducing their invaluable original works.

Artists : Giclée

Giclée printing has revolutionized the marketing and quality of commercial art. Pronounced "jheeklay" (French for "fine spray"), the process creates the highest quality contemporary Þne art reproductions available today. Giclée print reproductions are recognized as being rare and exquisite reproductions of original art. Seen as being "the next best thing" to owning the original, they can be found in the world’s finest museums and art galleries.

As a custom fine art giclée printer, we use custom profiles, precise color correction, digital restoring and retouching, expert scanning, pigment printing, and archival and acid-free substrates to create our museum-quality reproductions.

High-end digital printmaking has opened a new world for artists who can now enjoy more paper choices, better color, and smaller, more affordable limited production runs. Giclée printing is a state of the art printing process that combines art and technology to produce images with more detail than any other form of art reproduction.

The printing process, alone, is an art form.

The first step is digitizing the oil paintings, acrylic paintings, or watercolor paintings. You can either provide us with the digital files or original materials to scan. Files will be digitally retouched and restored if necessary, to ensure quality. Although we have a traditional drum scanner, to preserve the integrity of your original we now prefer to photograph rather than scan. This is made possible with very high resolution photography (22 mega pixel), capturing the high tones, darks, and the important middle tones that pull it all together.

The sophisticated Giclée inkjet printer then sprays approximately 4 million microscopic droplets of ink per second onto 100% cotton fiber paper or other media, such as gesso-coated canvas. The four Giclée printing colors, cyan, magenta, yellow and black, can produce a dazzling array of up to 16 million colors, rendering subtle gradations and tonality not possible with other technologies.

Based on independent research and testing, there are various image permanence ratings for each combination of ink and media used in Giclée printmaking. Our Giclée reproductions offer an image stability rating of greater than 80 years due to the archival–grade pigment inks and acid–free media we exclusively use, making them a true collector's item.

Your technical questions and concerns are encouraged, and will be addressed by the printmaker before, during and after the process is completed. All work is done at our location The process is difficult, but the end result is a truly wonderful work of art that will stand the test of time.

Photographers:

Digital high quality printing is becoming a necessity, as the market moves away from traditional silver–based technology. With many technological advances in the past few years, we can now achieve brilliant photographic reproductions with higher Dmax and tonal range, and archival characteristics unheard of before.

Merging professional grade, UV–curable large format printers with archival pigment inks, acid free watercolor papers and canvas, we can create long lasting reproductions of any size you require, perfect for:

  • Portrait and wedding professionals
  • Architectural and aerial photographers
  • Fine art photographers
  • Limited edition Giclée prints for resale, on your choice of paper, with Certificates of Authenticity available upon request.

Not Giclée:

If your end product is not a Giclée print, but rather just a part of the process, our expert staff can provide you with assistance for your imaging needs. Be it photographic or pre–press as a final output, we can help you with separations, photo composition, and world class Photoshop work. We are also very fortunate to have one of the most talented and experienced experts in the country on staff to handle digital restoration and extensive high-end retouching.

Regarding final prints, traditionally artwork is printed on Giclée printers. However, a digital press can provide very attractive results, comparable in some respects to Giclée printers. A press of this nature could also produce samples of new editions of Giclée prints much faster and at a lower cost than inkjet, on substrates up to 2" thick and nearly limitless is width.
